Meet the committee

As a committee, we are here for the society. See our information down below and if you would like to get in contact, please fill in the queries & concerns form!

committee: 2021-22

President: Alice Martin

Alice is a THIRD year Music student, and is so excited to be GMTG President 21/22! she has loved being a part of the society since she joined university, and getting involved in main shows, in person and online showcases, and trying out being on a production team. she can’t wait to help bring GMTG back to in person performances and events in the upcoming year, and working with the amazing new committee!

Secretary: Stephanie Wrigglesworth

Steph is a third year Geography student and is very excited to be joining the GMTG committee as your new secretary! She is really looking forward to being able to help organise the committee for the return of in-person live theatre, which we have undoubtedly all been eagerly awaiting. With a passion for singing at the top of her lungs and annoying her housemates in the process, Steph’s addiction to musical theatre only supports her role on the 21/22 Gmtg committee, and she can’t wait to get started.

Treasurer: Grace Roscoe

Grace is a second year maths student who is really excited to be joining the committee this year. She can’t wait to spend time at the guild and get to know everyone in the society. She has a strong passion for musical theatre, loving to learn new songs and original choreography. After her first year being entirely online, Grace can’t wait to help with in-person performances and socials. She hopes to give you all a fantastic year!

Social Secretary: ellie Miley

Ellie is the outgoing and energetic scouser on the committee. As a Third year Drama and Theatre student and a self proclaimed “social butterfly”, she is a great fit for our Social Sec! Having been a part of the society since her first term at uni she’s a friendly face who’s always up for a good chat and a sing song. She promises to make sure everyone has a “boss” year after missing you all during lockdowns and to keep your social lives thriving throughout the academic year!

Press & Publicity: emma Burton

Emma is a third year drama and english student so is very passionate about theatre and performing. WHEN SHE'S NOT RUNNING THE SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT, SHE IS PROBABLY AT GMTG SOCIALS OR CHOREOGRAPHING DANCES IN HER ROOM. ABSOLUTELY CANNOT WAIT TO GET BACK TO DOING IN-PERSON SHOWS AND HELPING THE YEAR BE ONE OF THE BEST EVER!

Music Liaison: Ben Garnett

This is Ben, your returning Music Liaison!
Ben is a Third year Music Student. Don’t let his age fool you though, because this connoisseur is currently holding a Guinness World Record for MDing the most bands at the same time ( or he’s just holding a Guinness). When he’s not transcribing and learning new music, you’ll find Ben curled up with a good book on “How to do More Work”. Hence, he is your returning music liaison. You’ll also find him at joe's wondering how he got into this mess. However, if you have any music enquires, Ben’s your guy!.

Workshops & Development: Helen Grout

Hi I’m Helen and I’m a Third year music student! I’ve loved being a part of GMTG over the past year, having played reeds in the pit band for Our House and On The Right Track. I am really excited to be a part of the committee this year and get organising some fantastic workshops and events for everyone!

Fundraising & Outreach:  Edward Cowlard

Ed is a third year Theology and Religion student and has been a part of GMTG since his first term and can't wait to be a part of committee to make sure everyone has as much fun as he has had over the past two years. With a new role like Fundraising and Outreach Officer he can't wait to get creative and use this new opportunity to improve the wellbeing of GMTG and increase the possibilities for future shows. he hopes you enjoy being a part of GMTG as much as he has and looks forward to seeing loads of new faces as we get back into the theatre!
