Alice is in her 5th year at UoB - tune in to see if it’s her last, although history suggests it won’t be! Rarely caught onstage, she is generally to be found behind a piano waving her arms about as musical director. Alice loves all things music, as her housemates will attest to (her degree is on the recorder - who plays the recorder after the age of 10?!), and her non-musical interests include cooking, running and complaining about running. Combining her postgrad with presidency, Alice is honoured to be at GMTG’s service for this academic year.
Sarah is a Third Year English and History student and whenever she isn’t curled up on the library sofas with a pile of books, she is running around the Guild busying herself with everything theatre-related. Armed with a drill and tape measure, she loves to dance around to her favourite musicals whilst fixing set and resetting props. As secretary, she is the queen of emails and genuinely loves a pretty spreadsheet. She has been involved with GMTG since her first ever term at UoB and cannot wait for another busy year!
Freya is a third year Drama and Theatre Studies student. With an obsession with showcases and a copy of Harry Potter superglued to her hand, you can find her making snarky comments in the corner of rehearsals. Despite this, she’s excited and mildly terrified for her last year of GMTG and can’t wait to spend (both literally and metaphorically) as much time as she can performing and falling over her feet.
Press & publicity
Anna is a Third Year English Literature student but has spent most of those three years ignoring her degree in rehearsals! Her mild social media addiction has served her well so far - and being press & pub is the perfect excuse to spend all day on twitter! She is excited to promote the hell out of this years shows and hopes to see lots of faces - new and old - at all of our socials and workshops.
This is Sophia, your social secretary! Sophia is a third year medical student and yes that means her life is hectic doing both committee things and studying to be a doctor! However she don’t know where she'd be without GMTG so is here to bring in all the fun and positive energy we have to offer through all her social events throughout the year! Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming meet ups and theatre trips in the near future!
Gaby is your Workshops and Development Officer, and is very excited to offer you as many workshops as she can possibly organise. She loves olympic weightlifting, martial arts, and circus, and is one if the few members of GMTG who knows what the inside of the gym looks like. She is hyped to learn more tricks for shows this year, as her past roles include avid skipper and breakdancing granny. And she hopes to one day teach you all these tricks in some of the workshops that run throughout this year.
Annabel (champion of Frosties and Frosties term 1 2018) cannot wait to be on this years committee! If Annabel could do a degree in GMTG then she would, but being music liaison will count towards her actual music degree right? She will never say no to a social/ stuesday and enjoys the odd vk or 20.
